“The shift is about to hit the fan.”

I AM is an utterly engaging and entertaining non-fiction film that poses two practical and provocative questions: what’s wrong with our world, and what can we do to make it better?   The filmmaker behind the inquiry is Tom Shadyac, one of Hollywood’s leading comedy practitioners and the creative force behind such blockbusters as “Ace Ventura,” “Liar Liar,” “The Nutty Professor,” and “Bruce Almighty.”   However, in I AM, Shadyac steps in front of the camera to recount what happened to him after a cycling accident left him incapacitated, possibly for good. Though he ultimately recovered, he emerged with a new sense of purpose, determined to share his own awakening to his prior life of excess and greed, and to investigate how he as an individual, and we as a race, could improve the way we live and walk in the world.

Armed with nothing but his innate curiosity and a small crew to film his adventures, Shadyac set out on a twenty-first century quest for enlightenment.  Meeting with a variety of thinkers and doers–remarkable men and women from the worlds of science, philosophy, academia, and faith–including such luminaries as David Suzuki, Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Lynne McTaggart, Ray Anderson, John Francis, Coleman Barks, and Marc Ian Barasch –  Shadyac appears on-screen as character, commentator, guide, and even, at times, guinea pig. An irrepressible “Everyman” who asks tough questions, but offers no easy answers, he takes the audience to places it has never been before, and presents even familiar phenomena in completely new and different ways.  The result is a fresh, energetic, and life-affirming film that challenges our preconceptions about human behavior while simultaneously celebrating the indomitable human spirit.

The pursuit of truth has been a lifelong passion for Shadyac. “As early as I can remember I simply wanted to know what was true,” he recalls, “and somehow I perceived at a very early age that what I was being taught was not the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”  He humorously describes himself as “questioning and searching and stumbling and fumbling toward the light.”  The “truth” may have been elusive, but success wasn’t.  Shadyac’s films grossed nearly two billion dollars and afforded him the glamorous and extravagent A-List lifestyle of the Hollywood blockbuster filmmaker.  Yet Shadyac found that more – in his case, a 17,000-square foot art-filled mansion, exotic antiques, and private jets — was definitely less.   “What I discovered, when I began to look deeply, was that the world I was living in was a lie,” he explains.  “Much to my surprise, the accumulation of material wealth was a neutral phenomenon, neither good or bad, and certainly did not buy happiness.”  Gradually, with much consideration and contemplation, he changed his lifestyle.  He sold his house, moved to a mobile home community, and started life—a simpler and more responsible life –  anew.

But, at this critical juncture, Shadyac suffered an injury that changed everything.  “In 2007, I got into a bike accident which left me with Post Concussion Syndrome, a condition where the symptoms of the original concussion don’t go away.”  These symptoms include intense and painful reactions to light and sound, severe mood swings, and a constant ringing sound in the head.  Shadyac tried every manner of treatment, traditional and alternative, but nothing worked.  He suffered months of isolation and pain, and finally reached a point where he welcomed death as a release. “I simply didn’t think I was going to make it,” he admits.

But, as Shadyac wisely points out, “Death can be a very powerful motivator.”  Confronting his own mortality, he asked himself, “If this is it for me –  if I really am going to die  –  what do I want to say before I go?  What will be my last testament?”  It was Shadyac’s modern day dark night of soul and out of it, I AM was born.  Thankfully, almost miraculously, his PCS symptoms began to recede, allowing him to travel and use his movie-making skills to explore the philosophical questions that inhabited him, and to communicate his findings in a lively, humorous, intellectually-challenging, and emotionally-charged film.

But this would not be a high-octane Hollywood production.  The director whose last film had a crew of 400, assembled a streamlined crew of four, and set out to find, and film, the thinkers who had helped to change his life, and to seek a better understanding of the world, its inhabitants, their past, and their future.  Thus, Shadyac interviews scientists, psychologists, artists, environmentalists, authors, activists, philosophers, entrepreneurs, and others in his quest for truth.   Bishop Desmond Tutu, Dr. Noam Chomsky, historian Dr. Howard Zinn, physicist Lynne McTaggart, and poet Coleman Banks are some of the subjects who engage in fascinating dialogue with Shadyac.

Shadyac was very specific about what he was after, wanting I AM to identify the underlying cause of the world’s ills – “I didn’t want to hear the usual answers, like war, hunger, poverty, the environmental crisis, or even greed,” he explains.  “These are not the problems, they are the symptoms of a larger endemic problem.  In I AM, I wanted to talk about the root cause of the ills of the world, because if there is a common cause, and we can talk about it, air it out in a public forum, then we have a chance to solve it.”

Ironically, in the process of trying to figure out what’s wrong with the world, Shadyac discovered there’s more right than he ever imagined.  He learned that the heart, not the brain, may be man’s primary organ of intelligence, and that human consciousness and emotions can actually affect the physical world, a point Shadyac makes with great humor by demonstrating the impact of his feelings on a bowl of yogurt. And, as Shadyac’s own story illustrates, money is not a pathway to happiness.  In fact, he even learns that in some native cultures, gross materialism is equated with insanity.

Shadyac also discovers that, contrary to conventional thinking, cooperation and not competition, may be nature’s most fundamental operating principle.   Thus, I AM shows consensus decision-making is the norm amongst many species, from insects and birds to deer and primates.  The film further discovers that humans actually function better and remain healthier when expressing positive emotions, such as love, care, compassion, and gratitude, versus their negative counterparts, anxiety, frustration, anger and fear. Charles Darwin may be best known for popularizing the notion that nature is red in tooth and claw, but, as Shadyac points out, he used the word love 95 times in The Descent of Man, while his most famous phrase, survival of the fittest, appears only twice.

“It was a revelation to me that for tens of thousands of years, indigenous cultures taught a very different story about our inherent goodness,” Shadyac marvels.  “Now, following this ancient wisdom, science is discovering a plethora of evidence about our hardwiring for connection and compassion, from the Vagus Nerve which releases oxytocin at simply witnessing a compassionate act, to the Mirror Neuron which causes us to literally feel another person’s pain.  Darwin himself, who was misunderstood to believe exclusively in our competitiveness, actually noted that humankind’s real power comes in their ability to perform complex tasks together, to sympathize and cooperate.”

Shadyac’s enthusiastic depiction of the brighter side of human nature and reality, itself, is what distinguishes I AM from so many well-intentioned, yet ultimately pessimistic, non-fiction films.  And while he does explore what’s wrong with the world, the film’s overwhelming emphasis is focused on what we can do to make it better.  Watching I AM is ultimately, for many, a transformative experience, yet Shadyac is reluctant to give specific steps for viewers who have been energized by the film.  “What can I do?” “I get asked that a lot,” he says.  “But the solution begins with a deeper transformation that must occur in each of us.  I AM isn’t as much about what you can do, as who you can be.  And from that transformation of being, action will naturally follow.”

Shadyac’s transformation remains in process.   He still lives simply, is back on his bicycle, riding to work, and teaching at a local college, another venue for sharing his life-affirming discoveries.  Reflecting Shadyac’s philosophy is the economic structure of the film’s release; all proceeds from I AM will go to The Foundation for I AM, a non-profit established by Shadyac to fund various worthy causes and to educate the next generation about the issues and challenges explored in the film.  When he directs another Hollywood movie, the bulk of his usual eight-figure fee will be deposited into a charitable account, as well.  “St. Augustine said, ‘Determine what God has given you, and take from it what you need; the remainder is needed by others.’  That’s my philosophy in a nutshell,” Shadyac says, “Or as Gandhi put it, ‘Live simply, so others may simply live.’”

Shadyac’s enthusiasm and optimism are contagious.  Whether conducting an interview with an intellectual giant, or offering himself as a flawed character in the narrative of the film, Shadyac is an engaging and persuasive guide as we experience the remarkable journey that is I AM. With great wit, warmth, curiosity, and masterful storytelling skills, he reveals what science now tells us is one of the principal truths of the universe, a message that is as simple as it is significant:  We are all connected –   connected to each other and to everything around us.  “My hope is that I AM is a window into Truth, a glimpse into the miracle, the mystery and magic of who we really are, and of the basic nature of the connection and unity of all things.  In a way,” says Shadyac, a seasoned Hollywood professional who has retained his unerring eye for a great story, “I think of I AM as the ultimate reality show.”

The Planetary Grid Transmissions

With unified meditation, receiving and transmitting
during four synchronized times:

Sydney, Australia: 8 pm

Country of India: 8 pm

Paris, France: 8 pm

New York, USA: 9 pm

The Crystalline Grid is powerfully reactivating as a new consciousness matrix and part of the New Earth template. This planetary grid is our new foundation and a spiritual “telecommunications system” to help us connect and remain connected to the higher consciousness of humans all over the world. By consciously aligning with and connecting to the Crystalline Grid on a regular basis, we strengthen our ability to receive and transmit higher dimensional energies… as one synergistic beam of Love and transforming energy.

Children of the Sun Humanitarian Foundation is radiating the call to people around the world to join this influential matrix and expanding forcefield of light. Serving as a Grid of Stabilization, this is a massive support system during this period of increased intensity in the Earth’s restructuring process. One of the main uses of this highly advanced crystalline structure is to bring balance to our and the Earth’s processes by providing a pure means from which to access and remain connected to pure energy source.

It also profoundly assists us in developing skills of exanded consciousness. This includes greater sense perceptions, telepathy, energy transferences, receiving and decoding the languages of light, multidimensional communications, to name a few. These are very important skills for the now times.

The Transmissions

These regular transmissions shower amplified infusions of light to assist in our personal transformation and as that is divinely aligned. As a forcefield, this amplified field supports each of us in releasing the old and embodying the new. We unite and link our collective light in a purified, highly tuned geometric field. This unified geometric field is also known as a group merkaba, or a spinning and ascending field of rarified energy which assists in our upliftment (ascension) into the new consciousness frequency.

Important to Build the Grid Networks

helpingServing as crystalline human portals and an extension of this powerful network, we each receive and transmit these New Earth energies to and from our intimate sphere of influence and the geographic locations in which we live. It is very important that we focus on building our own networks of light on this grid matrix. This is to help your friends, family and those closest to you. As we are all linked, what occurs in our field also affects those in our intimate sphere.

The networks also empower and expand the matrix into greater fields of mass unification.

With aligned intent, we can accelerate transformation into specific areas of the world especially those affected by the planetary shift. In these times of tremendous change, we are assured of this unified forcefield and giant support system to be in place, every new and full moon without fail. Everyone is inspired to build their own networks of light.

How it Works

The transmissions will occur over a full 24 hour period on each day of the new and full moon.

Unified Meditation/Ceremony is synchronized to four world times:

Sydney, Australia      8 p.m.
Country of India        8 p.m.
Paris, France             8 p.m.
New York, USA          9 p.m.

During this day, you may choose to go into meditation, connect to the Crystalline Grid and simply receive. If you have built a network or desire to assist with the unified planetary focus, you can also serve as a crystalline human portal in both receiving and transmitting.

  5. 2/15/11 – Present  Libya Rebellion*

The 2011 Libyan uprising began as a series of protests and confrontations occurring in the North African state of Libya against Muammar Gaddafi‘s 42-year rule. The protesters are calling for his ousting and democratic elections.  The protests began on 15 February 2011 and escalated into a widespread uprising by the end of February, with fighting verging at the brink of civil war as of 6 March 2011 (2011 -03-06)[update]. Inspiration for the unrest is attributed[by whom?] to the uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt, connecting it with the wider 2010–11 Middle East and North Africa protests.[23] By the end of February, Gaddafi had lost control of a significant part of the country, including the major cities of Misurata and Benghazi.[24][25] The Libyan opposition had formed a National Transitional Council and free press had begun to operate in Cyrenaica.[26] Social media had played an important role in organizing the opposition.[27] More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Libyan_uprising
  6. 2/25/11 – Jordan Protests*

On 28 January, following Friday prayers, 3,500 activists from the Muslim Brotherhood, trade unions, and communist and leftist organisations demanded that Samir Rifai step down as prime minister and that the government control rising prices, inflation and unemployment.[7] Protests were reported in Amman and six other cities.[8] Thousands took to the streets in the capital, Amman, as well as several other cities shouting, “We want change.” Banners complained of high food and fuel prices and demanded the resignation of the prime minister, an appointee of the king.[9]  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Jordanian_protests
  7. 2/20/11 – Morocco Protests*

The 2011 Moroccan protests are a series of demonstrations across Morocco which occurred on 20 February 2011 and were influenced by other protests in the region.  On February 20, thousands of Moroccans rallied in the capital, Rabat, to demand that King Mohammed give up some of his powers, chanting slogans like: “Down with autocracy” and “The people want to change the constitution”.[5] They were heading towards parliament and police had not tried to halt them, although Moroccan Finance Minister Salaheddine Mezouar said people should not join the march. A separate protest was also under way in Casablanca and one was planned for Marrakesh.[6] Acts of looting and major disorder were widespread in Tangier,[7][8] Marrakesh,[9][10][11] Al Hoceima,[12][13] Chefchaouen,[14] Larache,[9][15][16] Ksar-el-Kebir,[15] Fez,[17] Guelmim,[18] Tétouan,[14] and Sefrou.[19]  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Morocco_protests

  9. 2/14/11 – Tehran, Iran Protests*

The 2011 Iranian protests are a series of demonstrations across Iran which began on 14 February 2011. The protests are at least partly a continuation of the 2009–2010 Iranian election protests, and are influenced by other concurrent protests in the region.[5] To date the protests have resulted in at least three known deaths, with dozens more being hospitalised and hundreds arrested.  On 27 January, the opposition Green Movement of Iran announced a series of protests against the Iranian government scheduled to take place prior to the “Revolution Day” march on 11 February.[9]  On 9 February, various opposition groups in Iran sent a letter to the Ministry of Interior requesting permission to protest under the control of the Iranian police. Permission was refused by the relevant government officials.[10] Despite these setbacks and crackdowns on activists and members of opposition parties, opposition leaders such as Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, called for protests.[11][12]  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Iranian_protests
  10. 2/14/11 – Union Strikes, Wisconsin USA

The protests began on February 14, 2011 in opposition to the Wisconsin Budget Repair Bill proposed by Republican Governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker[7] to address a projected $3.6 billion budget shortfall.[8] The legislation would require state employees to contribute 5.8% of their salaries to cover pension costs, contribute 12.6% towards their health care premiums, and would weaken collective bargaining rights for most public employee union members. Democrats and union leaders offered to accept the increased cost of benefits but not the removal of bargaining rights.[9] Walker rejected the idea because they “stood in the way of local governments and school districts being able to balance their budget.”[9]  More: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Wisconsin_protests
  11. 2/14/11 – Bahrain Protests*
The date 14 February was chosen because it is the tenth anniversary of a referendum in favour of the National Action Charter of Bahrain.[17] Bahraini youths described their plans as an appeal for Bahrainis “to take to the streets on Monday 14 February in a peaceful and orderly manner” in order to rewrite the constitution and to establish a body with a “full popular mandate to investigate and hold to account economic, political and social violations, including stolen public wealth, political naturalisation, arrests, torture and other oppressive security measures, [and] institutional and economic corruption.”[1][2] They referred to the uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt as motivations for their appeal.[2] The Al Wefaq National Islamic Society, which won a plurality in the recent parliamentary election, participated in the planning for demonstrations on 14 February.[6] The Bahrain Center for Human Rights described authorities’ preparations for the 14 February planned demonstrations as “a state of confusion, apprehension and anticipation”.[7] On 11 February, King Hamad ibn Isa Al Khalifa ordered that 1,000 Bahraini dinars (approx. US$2,600 as of February 2011[update]) be given to “each family” to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the National Action Charter referendum.[4] Agence France Presse linked the BD1,000 payments to the 14 February demonstration plans.[4]  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Bahrain_protests
  12. 2/11/11 – Egypt Revolution*
The 2011 Egyptian Revolution (Arabic: ثورة ٢٥ يناير‎ thawret 25 yanāyir, Revolution of 25 January) took place following a popular uprising that began on 25 January 2011. The uprising, in which the participants placed emphasis on the peaceful nature of the struggle, mainly comprised a campaign of civil resistance, which featured a series of demonstrations, marches, acts of civil disobedience, and labor strikes. Millions of protesters from a variety of socio-economic and religious backgrounds demanded the overthrow of the regime of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Despite being predominantly peaceful in nature, the revolution was not without violent clashes between security forces and protesters. The campaign took place in Cairo, Alexandria, and in other cities in Egypt, following the Tunisian Revolution that saw the overthrow of the long time Tunisian president. On 11 February, following weeks of determined popular protest and pressure, Mubarak resigned from office.  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_Revolution_of_2011
  13. 2/4/11 – Sudan Protests*
On January 30, 2011, protests took place in Khartoum and Al-Ubayyid.[1] In Khartoum, police clashed with demonstrators in the town centre and at least two universities. Demonstrators had organized on online social networking sites since the Tunisian protests the month before. Hussein Khogali, editor in chief of the Al-Watan newspaper stated that his daughter had been arrested for organizing the protest via Facebook and opposition leader Mubarak al-Fadil‘s two sons were arrested while on their way to the main protest. Pro-government newspapers had warned that protests would cause chaos.[2] Some protesters called for President Omar al-Bashir to step down. Activists said that dozens of people had been arrested. The protests came on the same day the preliminary results for the referendum indicated some 99% of South Sudanese voted to secede.[3] One student died in hospital the same night from injuries received in the clashes.[4] Students threw rocks at police officers while chanting “No to high prices, no to corruption” and “Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan together as one.” Police officers arrested five and put down the protest.[5]  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Sudanese_protests
  14. 2/3/11 – Yemen Protests “Day of Rage”*
The 2011 Yemeni protests followed the initial stages of the Tunisian protests and occurred simultaneously with the Egyptian protests[8] and other mass protests in the Arab world in early 2011. The protests were initially against unemployment, economic conditions[9] and corruption,[10] as well as against the government’s proposals to modify the constitution of Yemen. The protestors’ demands then escalated to calls for President Ali Abdullah Saleh to resign.  A major demonstration of over 16,000 protestors took place in Sana’a on 27 January.[11] On 2 February, President Saleh announced he would not run for reelection in 2013 and that he would not pass power to his son. On 3 February, 20,000 people protested against the government in Sana’a,[12][13] others protested in Aden,[14] in a “Day of Rage” called for by Tawakel Karman,[15] while soldiers, armed members of the General People’s Congress and many protestors held a pro-government rally in Sana’a.[16]  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Yemeni_protests
  15. Feb. 2010…Tunisia Revolution*
The demonstrations were precipitated by high unemployment, food inflation, corruption,[5] a lack of freedom of speech and other political freedom[6] and poor living conditions. The protests constituted the most dramatic wave of social and political unrest in Tunisia in three decades[7][8] and have resulted in scores of deaths and injuries, most of which were the result of action by police and security forces against demonstrators. The protests were sparked by the self-immolation of Mohamed Bouazizi on 17 December[9] and led to the ousting of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali 28 days later on 14 January 2011, when he officially resigned after fleeing to Saudi Arabia, ending 23 years in power.[10][11] Labour unions were said to be an integral part of the protests.[12] The protests inspired similar actions throughout the Arab world; the Egyptian revolution began after the events in Tunisia and also led to the ousting of Egypt’s longtime president Hosni Mubarak; furthermore, protests have also taken place in Algeria, Yemen, Libya, Jordan, Bahrain, Iraq, Mauritania,[13] Pakistan[14] and elsewhere in the wider North Africa and Middle East.  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010%E2%80%932011_Tunisian_Revolution
  16. 12/28/10 – Present, Algeria Protests*
The 2010–2011 Algerian protests are a continuing series of protests taking place throughout Algeria from 28 December 2010 onwards, part of similar protests across the Middle East and North Africa. Causes cited by the protestors include unemployment, the lack of housing, food-price inflation, corruption, restrictions on freedom of speech and poor living conditions. While localised protests were already commonplace over previous years, extending into December 2010, an unprecedented wave of simultaneous protests and riots, sparked by sudden rises in staple food prices, erupted all over the country starting in January 2011. These were quelled by government measures to lower food prices, but were followed by a wave of self-immolations, most of them in front of government buildings. Opposition parties, unions, and human rights organisations then began to hold weekly demonstrations, despite these being illegal without government permission under the ongoing state of emergency; the government suppressed these demonstrations as far as possible, while promising to end the state of emergency soon. Meanwhile, protests by unemployed youth, typically citing unemployment, hogra (oppression), and infrastructure problems, resumed, occurring almost daily in towns scattered all over the country.  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010-2011_Algerian_protests
  17. 12/11/10 – Wikileaks.org Documentary (I.T. Rebels)
WikiLeaks is an international non-profit organisation that publishes submissions of private, secret, and classified media from anonymous news sources and news leaks. Its website, launched in 2006 under The Sunshine Press[5] organisation,[6] claimed a database of more than 1.2 million documents within a year of its launch.[7] WikiLeaks describes its founders as a mix of Chinese dissidents, journalists, mathematicians, and start-up company technologists from the United States, Taiwan, Europe, Australia, and South Africa.[8] Julian Assange, an Australian Internet activist, is generally described as its director.[9] The site was originally launched as a user-editable wiki, but has progressively moved towards a more traditional publication model and no longer accepts either user comments or edits.  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikileaks
  18. 4/6/10 – Kyrgyzstani Uprising
The 2010 Kyrgyzstani uprising was a series of riots and demonstrations across Kyrgyzstan in April 2010 that led ultimately to the ousting of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev. The uprising stemmed from growing anger against Bakiyev’s administration, rising energy prices, and the sluggish economy, and follow the government’s closure of several media outlets. Protesters took control of a government office in Talas on April 6, and on April 7 clashes between protesters and police in the capital Bishkek turned violent. At least 88 deaths[1] and over 1000 injuries have been confirmed.[2][5][6] Bakiyev also accused Russia of staging his ousting because he extended the lease of the Manas Air Base to the Americans.  After the riots, President Bakiyev fled the capital in his private jet south to Osh, while opposition leaders formed a new interim government led by former foreign minister Roza Otunbayeva.[7][8] In his southern home base Bakiyev supporters turned out in large numbers to show support for him and demanded his restoration to power. On April 15, a rally in support of Bakiyev was abruptly stopped due to gunfire from unknown sources.[9] The same day, Bakiyev left the country for Kazakhstan, and then went on to Belarus. He subsequently resigned as President,[10] although he has since renounced his resignation.[11]  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Kyrgyzstani_uprising
  19. 3/14/10 – Bangkok Protests “Red Shirts” Rally
The 14 March protests were the largest in Thai history and mostly peaceful. The protests were centered at Phan Fah bridge. Most protesters came from outside Bangkok.[5] Negotiations failed to set an election date. Dozens of M79 grenade attacks occurred far from Phan Fah, but there were no injuries and no arrests. In April, protesters shifted to Ratchaprasong intersection. A state of emergency was declared in Bangkok on 8 April, banning political assemblies of more than five people. On 10 April, troops unsuccessfully cracked down at Phan Fah, resulting in 24 deaths, including one Japanese journalist and five soldiers, and more than 800 injuries. The Thai media called the crackdown “Cruel April” (Thai: เมษาโหด).[6][7] Further negotiations failed to set an election date. On 22 April, grenade attacks killed one and injured 86 others. UDD members entered Chulalongkorn Hospital in an unsuccessful search for the attackers. Forensics expert Pornthip Rojanasunand later indicated that it might have been the source of the attacks. No arrests were made.[8] A UDD proposal for elections in three months was rejected by Abhisit. On 28 April, the military and protesters clashed in northern Bangkok, wounding at least 16 protesters and killing one soldier, although there were claims that the death was due to friendly fire. The UDD moved out of Phan Fah and consolidated at Ratchaprasong. On 3 May, Abhisit announced a reconciliatory roadmap and elections on 14 November. The roadmap was tentatively accepted by the UDD, but after they included additional conditions, the government withdrew the election offer.  More:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Thai_political_protests  * Note:  Jasmine Revolution relates to the pro-democratic protests for change in government in several countries[1][2] including Tunisia, Egypt, China, Libya, Bahrain, Morocco, Gabon, Algeria, Iran and several other countries in year 2010-2011.

A few reasons to explain the exodus could include the following:

  • It is said that changes in the magnetic field of the planet which often precede large earthquakes (or tectonic shifts due to the current polar shift of the planet) can confuse the sense of direction for most animals (including people) affecting the MINERAL MAGNETITE in their bodies that facilitate migration.
  • Lack of oxygen in the water due to the BP spill is taking its toll on our oceans worldwide.
  • Neurotoxins…
  • Harsh winters…
  • And now this:  USDA Admits Exterminating Birds, Crops and Bees (08/15/12)
  • Bee die-offs:   Whilst the insecticides and neurotoxins are the major cause of the die-offs, there are other reasons as well. Electro-magnetic radiation from cell towers, climate change (harsh weather), climate change shifting seasons affecting their food supply, invasive parasites, pole shift migration changes, etc. are also causes.

  6. 3/19/11 – 400 Pilot Whales, East Falklands The pod of whales apparently died after becoming stranded on the uninhabited Speedwell island to the south west of East Falkland and were discovered by Christopher May a local sheep farmer.  Chris May told Mercopress he discovered the stranded whales around 12 March when he visited his sheep farm on Speedwell Island to the south of East Falklands.  He estimated that they had been dead for around 10 days, when he discovered the unaccountable incident which scientists have long attempted to diagnose. 7. 3/18/11 – 21 Whales, Sydney, AustraliaSYDNEY (AFP) – Twenty-one long-finned pilot whales have died but 11 were saved after beaching themselves at Bruny Island, south of the Tasmanian state capital Hobart, conservation officials said on Friday.  The whales became stranded on Thursday and were spotted by a passing yacht, which alerted authorities who rushed to Butlers Beach and frantically doused them with water hoping to keep them alive. 8. 3/15/11 – 110,000 Albatross Chicks, Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge (Near Hawaii)Federal officials are now estimating that more than 110,000 Laysan and black-footed albatross chicks – about 22 percent of this year’s albatross production — at Midway Atoll National Refuge in the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument because of last week’s earthquake in Japan.  Immediately following the March 11 quake and tsunami, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service estimated “tens of thousands” of albatross chicks have been lost along with 1,000 adult birds resulting from the tsunami that washed over Midway’s three low-lying islands March 10-11.  Federal officials said least 2000 adults were also killed.  Biologists also initially estimated that thousands of Bonin petrels were lost, but they have since been unable to confirm a number due to the species’ behavior of nesting underground. Their burrows are not as extensively mapped as the albatross nests.  More:  http://articles.cnn.com/2011-03-18/us/tsunami.birds.deaths_1_tsunami-waves-laysan-bonin-petrels?_s=PM:US

  9. 3/12/11 – Mackeral, Acapulco, Mexico:  Masses of , anchovies, stripped bass and mackerel surged close to shore Friday on one beach in the Mexican resort city, packed so tightly near the surface they looked like an oil slick from above…  “It would fall into that category where you would love to make the connection, but who knows?” said Rich Briggs, a geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey. “Tsunamis can change local currents, but it’s hard to make a firm connection.” ©2010 The Associated Press. 10. 3/9/11 – Millions of Sardines in Redondo Beach, California USA sardines king harborMillions of fish have been found dead floating in a harbour in Los Angeles’ south.  The fish — made up of sardines, anchovies and mackerel — have carpeted King Harbour at Redondo Beach, the LA Times reports.  “There’s basically fish everywhere you go in the harbour,” assistant harbour manager Jason McMullin told the Times.  Although officials have remained silent over possible causes for the mass deaths, Mr McMullin said he had heard the fish might have been driven into the harbour by an algal bloom and died from a lack of oxygen in the confined waterway.  The Contra Coast Times said fire, police and public works personnel were on the scene and trying to work out how to remove the fish.  “We need to get rid of them,” Sergeant Phil Keenan from Redondo Beach police department told the Times.  “This is going to create a terrible pollution and public health issue if we don’t.”  Birds that frequent the area have already gorged on the feast of dead fish and there are fears the area will now be invaded by sea lions looking for an easy meal.
  11. 2/22/11 – More Pilot Whales, New ZealandWhales and Earthquake (Pic:Reuters and Getty Images)Twitter was awash today with theories that the bizarre deaths of more than 100 stranded pilot whales in New Zealand may have been a warning that an earthquake was going to hit.  There have been TWO mass whale deaths on NZ’s South Island in less than three weeks.  In the latest bizarre incident on Sunday, less than 48 hours before the earthquake hit, a pod of whales beached themselves near Cavalier Creek on Stewart Island.  Discussing the earthquake and whale deaths on Twitter, Kate Redman ‘DolphinSeeker30’ asked: “could the stranding of 100 pilot whales be linked to the earthquake?”  CodeNameTanya tweeted: “Over a hundred pilot whales beached themselves in New Zealand and then the earthquake. Wonder if tectonic plate shifts confuse whales. Hmmm.”  VeganWheekers asked: “Could there be a connection between the 107 whales that died on New Zealand beach yesterday and today’s earthquake?” while TV New Zealand added: “has anyone noticed the correlation between beached whales and earthquakes?”  Following the discovery of 30 stranded pilot whales on the island earlier this month, RadioLive breakfast show host Marcus Lush tweeted that an earthquake “greater than five” would hit in the next week.  Source:  UK Mirror by Chris Powers

  13. 2/3/11 – Mass Tree Deaths in the AmazonDrought Effects In Manaus Region, Amazon, Brazilguardian.co.uk home
Scientists fear billions of tree deaths caused by 2010 drought could see vast forest turn from carbon sink to carbon source.  Aerial view of a drought-affected area within the Amazon basin in Manaus, Brazil. Photograph: Rodrigo Baleia/LatinContent/Getty ImagesBillions of trees died in the record drought that struck the Amazon in 2010, raising fears that the vast forest is on the verge of a tipping point, where it will stop absorbing greenhouse gas emissions and instead increase them. The dense forests of the Amazon soak up more than one-quarter of the world’s atmospheric carbon, making it a critically important buffer against global warming. But if the Amazon switches from a carbon sink to a carbon source that prompts further droughts and mass tree deaths, such a feedback loop could cause runaway climate change, with disastrous consequences.”Put starkly, current emissions pathways risk playing Russian roulette with the world’s largest forest,” said tropical forest expert Simon Lewis, at the University of Leeds, and who led the research published today in the journal Science. Lewis was careful to note that significant scientific uncertainties remain and that the 2010 and 2005 drought – thought then to be of once-a-century severity– might yet be explained by natural climate variation.”We can’t just wait and see because there is no going back,” he said. “We won’t know we have passed the point where the Amazon turns from a sink to a source until afterwards, when it will be too late.”

  14. 1/11/11 – Shocking Mass Animal Deaths Around The Worldhttps://i2.wp.com/www.treehugger.com/galleries/images/map-mass-animal-deaths-lg.jpgby Blythe Copeland
Just a few weeks into 2011, and it’s already a tough year for the animal kingdom: Mass deaths of blackbirds, spot fish, sardines, croakers, doves, and other creatures are going mostly unexplained in regions all over the world (as this helpful Google Map points out).  But these population injuries aren’t entirely uncommon: From beached whales and dead penguins to massive fish kills and threatened manatees, 2010 had its share of bad news, too. Often these events are blamed on temperature change, human activity, or natural causes, but in many of the cases we’ve included here, we may never know exactly what caused massive destruction on these fragile populations.  Image: Google Maps  Article includes the following animals:

  15. Birds Dying Around the World
Image: Inquistrblackbird mass animal death photoBird deaths have been getting most of the attention lately, as reports of thousands of birds dropping out of these sky have come in from the United States, Sweden, New Zealand, and other countries worldwide.  On New Year’s Eve, 2,000 blackbirds died in Arkansas; similar deaths in Louisiana and Kentucky followed.  Sweden reported 50 dead birds a few days later, and 100 more dead blackbirds were found in New Zealand. Current thinking is that the birds were victims of physical trauma — which could mean anything from a lightening strike or hail to fireworks that frightened the birds into colliding with each other.  Photo: hart_curt/Creative Commons

  16. Whales in New Zealandbeached pilot whales photo
    New Zealand
is dangerous territory for the pilot whales that pass by the island during breeding season each year.  Last winter, 168 of the massive mammals were found stranded on beaches and couldn’t be rescued (though conservation workers were able to save 76 other beached whales in the region).  In 2003, 160 whales died in the same region — though biologists are still unable to say exactly why the area is so treacherous.  Photo: China Daily

  17. Penguins in Brazilpenguin mass death photoIt’s not unusual for residents of Sao Paulo, Brazil, to find a few dead penguins on their beaches in the summer: It’s migrating season for the Magellans, and there are always a few that don’t survive the trip.  But last summer, officials found “an absurdly high number” of the birds dead on their beaches: nearly 500 (the usual annual count is around 10).  While many of the birds were found with empty stomachs, indicating starvation as a cause of death, the cause of the starvation remains a mystery.  Photo: elisfanclub/Creative Commons

  18. Fish Near the Gulf of Mexicodead catfish alabama photoThe long-term effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill are still coming to light, but two massive fish kills shortly after the spill in nearby regions put environmentalists on guard.

TreeHugger’s Brian Merchantcaptured these images of dead catfish littering the beaches of Dauphin Island, Alabama, in May 2010; though he says that the fish wash up on those beaches for other reasons — like disease, and fishing — the numbers this year were higher than usual. And in September, countless sea creatures of varying kinds — including pogies, redfish, shrimp, eel, crabs, and more — were found clogging a section of the Mississippi River in Louisiana.

Though initial reports pointed to the oil spill as the culprit, later research showed that the fish were the victims of a deadly combination of low tides and unseasonably warm waters.  Photo: Brian Merchant

  19. Fish in Maryland and Massachusettsfish kill chesapeake mass death photoFish in the Atlantic can be just as susceptible to the warming waters as their fellow swimmers in the south, though — as illustrated by two major fish kills in the northern U.S. that occurred within four months of each other. In August, residents of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, called attention to thousands of Menhaden fish that were washing up on beaches; local marine fisheries explained that the Menhadens are especially “sensitive to environmental changes,” and gave the cause of death as “lack of oxygen due to warmer waters.” Then, in early January, 2 million adult spot fish died in the Chesapeake Bay, where record lows of 36 degrees in December caused “cold-water stress” that the fish couldn’t overcome. (The region had seen similar die-offs before: 15 million fish in 1976 and another in 1980.) Photo: Baltimore Sun

  20. Devil Crabs in Englandmass crab death kent photoWithin the first week of 2011, officials in Kent, England, reported that devil crabs were washing up on the coastline in massive numbers.  While the crabs were the major invaders — The Mirror estimated that 40,000 dead Devil Crabs made up the bulk of the influx — they weren’t alone.  Other sea life, including starfish, lobsters, anemones, and sponges, were spotted on the beaches, too. Here, though, experts blamed temperature change for the mass death, pinning it to “hypothermia after the UK’s coldest December in 120 years.”  Screenshot: BBC
  21. Sardines in Brazildead sardines brazil photoOn December 30, the fishing industry in Parana, Brazil, ground to a halt as more than 100 tons of dead sardine, croaker, and catfish began landing on its beaches.  Initial reports pointed to an “environmental imbalance” or to a chemical spill that could have affected the fish population — and Planet Green points out that a naturally-occurring ocean event, like a toxic algae bloom, or the results of human activities (especially bottom trawling) could have the same end result.  Photo: rockyeda/Creative Commons
  22. Manatees in Floridamanatees mass death photoFish aren’t the only creatures threatened by a change in water temperature: For a group of manatees in the Gulf of Mexico, unusually cold weather is a dangerous thing.  Last year, more than 100 manatees washed up on the shores of South Florida in the first three weeks of January alone — officials blamed that death toll on chilly waters.  This year, the BBC reports that 300 manatees have fled the cool currents for the warmth of discharge canals at Big Bend Power Station in Tampa, Florida.  Photo: USFWS/Southeast/Creative Commons
  23. Doves in Italydoves mass death photoResidents of Faenza, Italy, have been faced with the deaths of far more than two turtle doves: 1,000 of the birds have been found dead in the village in the last few days.  The birds were all found with blue stains on their beaks; scientists’ current theory is that the birds stuffed themselves with sunflower seeds from an industrial site and “suffered from indigestion that led to their death.” The blue stains, they say, are a result of a lack of oxygen that’s a warning sign for altitude sickness.

03/09/11: 9th Wave | Universal Underworld | Unity Consciousness

9 03 2011

Carl Johan Calleman on the Universal Underworld and Unity Consciousness:

March 9, 2011
Dawn of the Unity Wave

by Carl Johan Calleman

Last year large numbers of people gathered in the Conscious Convergence event on July 17-18, 2010, setting an intention to manifest unity consciousness as the Ninth, and highest, of the Mayan waves brings the universe to its highest state of existence. This event served as a base camp for intention setting and ascension towards Unity consciousness; We celebrated in joy in the most varied forms, ranging from the temples of Bali to the Mayan elders in Guatemala and from the Sami in the North to the Bushmen in the Kalahari. We could for the first time ever see our planet emerging as a sacred space encircled by a global medicine wheel.*

We are now approaching the actual beginning of this wave of unity consciousness, which begins on March 9, 2011. This is the ninth wave also known as the Universal Underworld. This wave includes thirteen uaxaclahunkin (18 day) periods that propel a process designed to lead the universe and the human beings to their highest state of consciousness.** The purpose of this article is to provide some additional background to this wave, its initiation date and suggest how the energy of the wave may be used in the most beneficial way. This requires that I again summarize the basic structure of the cosmic time plan as understood from the Mayan calendar.

Many people have in recent years come to know about the existence of the Mayan calendar and its purported end date, but surprisingly, not so many have assimilated what the ancient inscriptions are saying about it. In fact, there is only one known ancient inscription that mentions the calendar end — Monument 6 from Tortuguero*** describes what will happen when the calendar comes to an end. The current reading of this ancient inscription by professional Mayanists is that we will then “witness the display of Bolon Yokte Ku in his full costume and regalia.” So whatever else you might have heard associated with the end of the Mayan calendar such as a pole shift, the end of the world, a galactic alignment, solar flares, radiation from the center of the galaxy, etc., actually lacks foundation in any ancient Mayan text.

Yet what obviously does have a background in an ancient Mayan inscription is Bolon, the number nine. At first sight, the reading of the Tortuguero Monument may sound cryptic and difficult to understand. There is however a lot of surrounding information about Bolon Yokte Ku that allows us to make sense of this insciption.*** Crucial to understanding is that Bolon Yokte Ku is the Nine-Support, or Nine-Step, entity of “period endings.” Bolon Yokte Ku, in other words, is a name for a cosmic pyramid in nine steps. Through extensive factual verification this pyramid has been shown to symbolize the nine levels of evolution the universe undergoes on its climb to its highest state of consciousness.

Each level of evolution, of Bolon Yokte Ku, the cosmic pyramid, is then developed through a series of thirteen time periods. These range from the hablatun (1.26 billion years) on the bottom level to the uaxaclahunkin of 18 days at the ninth level. This means a twenty times frequency increase and speed-up of time with every single step to a higher level. Soon, as of October 28, 2011, the energies of the nine waves are then all going to manifest fully. This final manifestation, I believe is what the ancient inscription refers to when it says that it will be witnessed how Bolon Yokte Ku will appear in his full regalia. The fruits of the nine waves will then appear in their fullness as these are simultaneously completed. This is no longer confusing if we accept that the ancient peoples of the world, including the Maya, would tend to personalize the cosmic forces describing them as “gods”, while, in the modern world, we would probably only describe this as nine energy waves.

As of March 9, 2011, the ninth and highest wave of the Bolon Yokte Ku will be activated. It seems to me that the purpose of this particular wave of 13 x 18 = 234 days is to cap the entire evolution of the universe that so far has been propelled by the eighth lower waves. From what we know about the changing polarities of consciousness of the nine waves it will do so by providing energies that are conducive to the human beings cocreating unity consciousness.

This is the purpose of the Ninth wave. So let us stop for a moment to contemplate the momentous place in time in which we find ourselves. Life, and especially human life, has evolved to the eighth level. Those that have actually climbed a physical Mayan pyramid, such as the pyramid of the Great Jaguar in Tikal, may be able to relate to the feeling of coming close to the top at the eighth level catching breath for the ascent to the top. We are now then about to start the climb to the ninth and highest level of life. It was to prepare for this momentous opportunity that many participated in the intention setting event of the Conscious Convergence last July. We now can follow the intentions we set at this event and actually manifest through co-creating Unity Consciousness. It is now time for us to follow up, and actually manifest the Unity Consciousness that was the intention of this event. The meaning of the unity wave that is now about to begin is for us to cocreate the appearance of Bolon Yokte Ku in its full splendor, the completion of the cosmic plan and its nine levels of evolution. As March 9, 2011 arrives, we are called to begin co-creating Unity Consciousness; March 9, 2011 is the dawn of the wave of unity.

Thus, the year of 2011 is not scheduled to be just like another year. Very likely this is our last chance to live up to being co-creators with the cosmic plan. As this Gregorian year began, the messages that circulated reflected our heightened ambivalence to the passage of time. On the one hand there were the every year kind of messages like: “Hope you will have a great 2011” or “what do you want to create for yourself in 2011?” as if this would just be like another year. Messages centered on the individual, based on a linear view of time made up from years following one after the other.

On the other hand, around the New Year reports started to come about the “aflockalypse.” Large numbers of fish, birds and animals simply died for no apparent reason. This instead pointed to anything but a linear continuation of time in 2011. The aflockalypse is possibly due to the frequency increase that the nine levels of the Mayan pyramid undergoes combined with the extreme degree to which humans have now pushed the ecology of the planet off balance. If this is true, it would call upon us to adapt to this new frequency and also shift completely from asking for things for ourselves and what we as egos or individuals may want from 2011 to what our egos may do to serve the delivery of the divine plan. The ninth wave of unity would then be calling for a complete shift in our way of being, to manifesting unity consciousness, which is the intended end result of the cosmic plan. If this is to happen, it may also call for extraordinary cosmic energies to fulfill the cosmic plan. In fact, maybe the ninth wave will be a Judgment Day that will save the world.

If there is a twenty-fold increase in frequency with every wave, the Ninth Wave, or Universal Underworld, will have a duration of 13 x 18 = 234 days and would then start March 9, 2011. It will progress through seven days and six intermediate nights, each being a uaxaclahunkin. In Mayan calendar language, this means an 18-day period. The 18-day periods can be subdivided into two nine-day counts (two days off from the classical nine lords of the night count) since they will have both an ascending and a descending phase and in this way we may see more clearly the link to classical Mayan calendrics. If the ninth wave is all about creating harmony from what has evolved previously then our task would be to ask the divine for guidance as to what we would do to arrive at this. If we are asking for global harmony we cannot however simply ask for our egos to guide us. Instead we will from the outset have to ask questions like: “What can I do to serve the cosmic plan?” or “What shall I do to further the manifestation of unity consciousness?” If the days of the ninth wave are the time periods most conducive to generating such unity consciousness then we will have to turn for spiritual guidance from the divine in phase exactly with these days of the Universal Underworld.

The ninth wave here joins the alpha to the omega in that for the first time in history it brings the nine-day count to the forefront of evolution. These will be extraordinary times and it is possible that we here will be confronted with a choice of truth versus tradition. The reason is that if the ninth wave will have the strength that we may expect from the evolution of a new underworld then it will be energetically more powerful and stronger than the traditional tzolkin count of 13 x 20 days. The Ninth level will, in other words, bring in a nine-day count that transcends the tzolkin in power and is more meaningful to follow for those seeking to align themselves with the cosmic plan. Still, of course, the tzolkin will continue to live on as an undercurrent of energies.

The rhythm of the Universal Underworld is then a nine-day climb of increasing intensity starting on March 9, 2011 followed by a descending intensity for the next eighteen (9+9) days until a new descent begins of eighteen (9+9) days. We will then have to learn to ride this wave in order to ultimately climb to the top of the pyramid to be able to witness the appearance of Bolon Yokte Ku in “his” full regalia. Calendars to follow this eighteen (or nine day) count are available in German (can be ordered from christiane biebl christiane.biebl@web.de, See also www.indalosia.de) and Swedish (www.livsstrommen.se), but also on web sites in English and French (http://4-ahau.com/

We are calling for everyone to be part of the initiation of this new wave on March 9, 2011. Each of you is welcome to make use of the web site www.treeoflifecelebration.com for communicating with others who share the same intentions. I feel it should be clear that it is something fundamentally new that is proposed here. A frequency of evolution, the nine-day count, which previously has only been vaguely discernible, will come to be the chief guiding rhythm. And if you think about it, it would be truly remarkable if the transformation to a new world could be the result of a mere linear continuation of calendars that have been used for centuries.

The call for events or celebrations to initiate the ninth wave on March 9, 2011 only means to point out that this is the beginning date, the initiation of our opportunity to move into unity together. We would also like to encourage you to find means of celebrating and transforming into unity consciousness during times that work for you, such as weekends around the first eighteen day period, as well as holding the intention for the beginning of true unity on March 9, 2011. In fact, the idea is that this process of transformation generating the unity consciousness of the ninth wave should not end. It will continue to October 28, 2011 and beyond.**** There is no single right answer to how this transformation to unity consciousness is to be brought about everywhere. Yet, there are tools available that can be used and further developed by all those who share the common intention of manifesting unity consciousness. Everything starts with an intention and if the intention is aligned with the purpose of the cosmic plan, it will be increasingly bearing fruit.

On March 9, 2011 we will remember the intention of unity consciousness we collectively set at the conscious convergence of July 17-18, 2010 joined by many who are now setting it for the first time. This time it will be our task to actually deliver the unity consciousness by applying our collective creativity to a new arena. Be there, wherever you are in the cosmos, for this final countdown.

** The word “consciousness” has become one of the most popular buzzwords of our time and yet there is little agreement as to what it means. My own view is that consciousness is fundamentally a relationship to the Tree of Life and so when the Tree of Life alters its polarities the filter of consciousness changes. Thus shifts in consciousness brought about by polarity shifts in the tree of life are what drive human history and all of evolution forward. Every Underworld, or wave, thus brings a consciousness dominated by a particular polarity and so as we climb the cosmic pyramid consciousness will evolve to higher and higher forms of manifestation. Many who use the word consciousness are not aware of this crucial link between the Mayan calendar and the evolution of consciousness and hence tend to give the word a different, sometimes entirely different, connotation. Many people who use the word consciousness in fact give this the specific meaning of unity consciousness, which in reality is just one of its many possible expressions.

**** For a comparison of the proposed 4 Ahau end date of December 21, 2012 and the 13 Ahau of October 28, 2011 please listen to my interview with Mark van Stone in three parts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSu-SWJILQU (or http://4-ahau.com/Mark_Van_Stone.html).

Carl Johan Calleman, Ph.D. is the author of three books about the cosmic plan as this may be understood from the Mayan calendar: Solving the Greatest mystery of Our Time: The Mayan calendar (2001), The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness (2004) and The Purposeful Universe (2009). He has also been part of initiating several global events based on shifts in the Mayan calendar such as most recently the Conscious Convergence of July 17-18, 2010.
